We want to take a moment to let the sun shine on our incredible volunteers and volunteer groups that care for us so well.
We are so thankful for these generous hearts and helpful hands that are united in their love of God and love of others. It is an honor to share their stories and smiles.
Over at the new Transitional Youth Resource Center in Parkrose, board members from A Solid Foundation volunteered their time and talent, building and painting shelving for our storage closet. Arriving with tools and paintbrushes in hand, this group wasted no time in cheerfully and enthusiastically getting to work. Not only did the project get done, but we learned more about each other along the way. We are so grateful for this time together!
Once shelving was in place, this Bridgetown Community Group from Northeast Portland (pictured below) devoted their Tuesday night to completely transforming the space by sorting, boxing, and organizing supplies. Check out the difference that they made in only 2 hours! Outstanding! We couldn’t have asked for a better night and are so excited to welcome them back.
Meanwhile…
Up at our homes in Yacolt and Vancouver, Crossroads Community Church and Matthew 25 Group volunteers got outside and got BUSY. Many hands make light work - and sure have a lot of fun in the process. New raised garden beds ready for planting? Yes please! We couldn’t do all of this without you!
